Many people question what their dog should and should not eat. I find that the more I learn about what is good and bad for my dogs, the more I realize he needs my help. With that revelation comes a new realistic attitude.

One thing I realize I do not know, and have not researched, is what dogs should and should not eat. Much of this information is available but it is some of the most important things we should know. We are what we eat and the same applies to our dogs.

So here are a few things to consider. What dogs should and should not eat.

So buy some time with your dog and make some decisions. What is good for him?

What is bad for him?

Be aware of the following that are dangerous to your dog.

Chocolate

Chocolate is one of life’s “down-and-ings” and is as poisonous to dogs as it is to humans. Baking chocolate is the least harmful, dates, cocoa, and dark chocolate are the most dangerous for your dog. Keep the ex Older and highly-dependent dog out of the den or the kitchen if you use this type of chocolate.

Grapes and Raisins

The toxin in grapes and raisins is unknown, but either reduces kidney function or can cause complete kidney failure in dogs. Raisins can cause lethargy, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you suspect your dog has ingested grapes or raisins, get him to an emergency room or your local vet. If he has eaten grapes, remove them from his reach, or induce vomiting if he does ingest them.

Nuts

Macadamia nuts should be removed from your dog’s diet. These nuts include dangerously high phosphorus that can build up in your dog’s kidney and cause muscle weakness or paralysis. Other potential problems include muscle tremors, fever, depression and central nervous system depression. The tremors could last for several days.

Cooked Bones

Chicken bones can cause obstruction or laceration of the digestive system. It is recommended that you ask your veterinarian to remove cooked bones from your pet’s diet.

Insect Bites (catiks)

Insect bites can cause allergic reactions in dogs. Lice and fleas, along with tapeworms can cause severe digestive system problems. Because summarize bites from mosquitoes and other insects every year in the US require eliminating it from your dog’s diet.

Alcoholic beverages

Dogs and humans are Shock Collosed to alcohol poisoning. They can drink alcohol to excess gravitas ( invaders). This is very dangerous to them. One to four teaspoons of beer (a one-time event) in a quiet dog is quite a problem.
